Forget unhealthy dips, this easy guacamole recipe for kids is ideal for snack time. Avocados are a great source of healthy fats so great for growing bodies! Remember to always follow the Kitchen Monsters Code when you’re in the kitchen!
Ingredients: 2 x avocados, 1 x onion, 1 x clove of garlic, 1 x tomato, 1 x lime
Special Equipment: Knife, chopping board, fork, bowl
Carefully cut the avocados in half, remove the stone and scoop out the green flesh into your bowl
Peel the onion and tomato chop them into the smallest pieces you can but watch your fingers!
Peel the garlic too and chop it up or crush it into the bowl along with the onion, tomato and avocado
Cut the lime in half and squeeze as much of the juice out as you can
Now come the kid’s favourite part – give them the fork and get them mashing!
The more you mash it up the finer it will be but it all depends how chunky you like it
It’ll keep in the fridge for a day or two but is best served immediately with crisps or even better – carrot sticks
